Ella E.’s designer, Lara McDonald, was initially inspired by her grandmother’s jewelry collection, she’s always had an affection for things past and much of her creativity stems from that passion.

Ella Elizabeth is the only daughter of the designer’s three children, her personality is that of an ‘old soul’, so her name was fitting for the company.

The handcrafted clasp on the left side, of most necklaces, is the Ella E. signature and was initially designed for ease. Many pieces are made to be worn both front and back. The front is with the clasp on the left, over your heart.

Ella E. jewelry is handcrafted, locally in Chicago. Our signature oxidized brass is hand-embellished in the USA, and due to the hand-crafted process, each piece possesses a unique color & luster.

Our oxidation process is eco-friendly, we take pride in efforts to keep our country ‘green’. All metal is nickel-free and lead-free compliant, and is not antique plated. Expect some natural aging with the metal.

Of the five collections of Ella E. Jewelry, all stones are of the highest quality and true of their origin. The type of stone used in our pieces, will be noted on the tag.
